The Brief Bio
I'm a 48-year-old digital media and web designer based in Perranporth, Cornwall - a beautiful village on the south west coast in Cornwall.
My fascination with art dates back to early childhood and has been a constant in my life ever since. The work featured on these pages is a product of genuine passion, uncompromising attention to detail, unquestionable commitment to usability and best practices, and of course, an extremely high tolerance for caffeine. I enjoy being in front of a camera as well as behind but the joy of being able to manipulate the footage or graphic is so much fun!
In the past 11 years since I've ventured into this medium, I have had the privilege to work for and collaborate with a number of tremendously talented people - experiences which, collectively, have helped refine my eye and sharpen my skills.
The name Islander Designs is a reference to when I first started to get involved in web design, graphics and film/video living on the small island of St.Kitts in the Caribbean- an idea that good design is often found in the smallest of places. It is with this mindset that I approach every project, striving to help each of my clients achieve their goals.
